Deus, an established economist and ILO Certified Trainer (SIYB and DYB), is the current Executive Director/Board Secretary of Imanzi Business Institute (IBI). He previously served as the Director of Advocacy at the Private Sector Federation of Rwanda. Further, he also provided technical support to the East African Legislative Assembly in the preparation of technical reports on trade facilitation, NTBs, and in the areas of trade simplification and harmonization of customs practices and processes in line with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreements and other related international Instruments. Independent Consultant with over 20 years of proven experience working with the Government, International Organizations and private sector on International and Regional Trade integration, Cross-Border trade and Private Sector. Proven experience in programs and projects evaluation with special focus on OECD/DAC criteria/principles (Relevance, Coherence, Effectiveness, Efficiency, impact and sustainability), analyzing and formulating trade policies and policy development & cooperation project management, Prepared guidance documents, evaluation & assessment reports and mapping ,technical reports, vast experience in project cycle management (PCM), results based management (RBM), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), project development, policy formulation, and Logical Framework methodologies; over 10 years involved in regional trade, cross border trade with a strong emphasis on Women in cross border trade, advocacy through public private sector engagements and dialogue.
